La Storia

A table is never just a table.

VELLUTO was born from a single, stubborn idea: that an evening should feel like a secret you were lucky to be let in on. Behind an unmarked emerald door, the city falls away, replaced by the hush of velvet, the glow of brass, and the perfume of a kitchen that has been simmering since noon.

Our cucina is rooted in the Italian table, handmade pasta, fish brought in on ice, vegetables from growers we know by name, but plated with the restraint of a jeweller. The bar pours late, the music stays low, and no one is ever in a hurry to leave.

Our bar is the beating heart of VELLUTO, a marble altar to the aperitivo, pouring well past midnight. Classics built with reverence, a few we made our own.
